Aims and Objectives
Science & Society Insights is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed journal that publishes research across the biological, agricultural, medical, basic, and social sciences. The journal aims to foster collaboration between disciplines and highlight research with strong societal relevance and global impact. We welcome original research articles, reviews, communications, case studies, and perspectives that address challenges in health, environment, food security, sustainability, technology, and social development. By integrating diverse fields, Science & Society Insights serves as a platform where scientific discovery and social progress converge.
✍️ Author Guidelines – Science & Society Insights
1. Manuscript Types
We consider the following article types:
- Original Research Articles – comprehensive studies with significant new findings.
- Review Articles – systematic, meta-analysis, or narrative reviews offering critical overviews of a field.
- Short Communications – brief reports of novel or timely findings.
- Case Studies / Policy Analyses – applied research with societal relevance.
- Perspectives & Commentaries – expert views on emerging issues, policies, or conceptual advances.
- Letters to the Editor – scholarly discussion, critique, or response.
2. Manuscript Preparation
- Language: All manuscripts must be written in clear, grammatically correct English. Authors for whom English is a second language are encouraged to seek professional editing support.
- File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX.
- Length: No strict word limit, but conciseness is encouraged.
- Title Page: Include article title, all author names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, and contact details of the corresponding author.
- Abstract: ≤250 words, unreferenced, summarizing objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
- Keywords:4–6 keywords for indexing.
- Main Text:Should generally follow the IMRAD structure:
- Introduction: Background, objectives, and rationale.
- Materials and Methods: Detailed enough for reproducibility; ethical approvals must be stated.
- Results: Clear and logically presented.
- Discussion: Interpretation, limitations, and significance.
- Conclusions: Concise summary of major findings.
- Figures and Tables: Numbered consecutively, each with a descriptive caption. Images should be high-resolution (≥300 dpi).
- Supplementary Information: Data, protocols, or multimedia can be included separately.
3. References
- Use APA 7th edition style with in-text citations (author–date)
- Include DOIs for all references where available.
- Authors are responsible for ensuring accuracy and completeness.

4. Ethical and Legal Considerations
- Human Research: Must conform to the Declaration of Helsinki; IRB/ethics approval number must be provided.
- Animal Research: Must comply with ARRIVE guidelines and institutional animal care protocols.
- Consent: Written informed consent is required for studies involving human participants or identifiable data/images.
- Data Integrity: Authors must avoid fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and redundant publication.
- Conflicts of Interest: All authors must disclose financial and non-financial competing interests.
5. Data and Materials Availability
Authors must state data availability in a separate section. Datasets, code, and materials should be deposited in recognized repositories where possible, with links included in the article.
6. Submission Process
- Submissions are accepted through the journal’s online submission system (details on website).
- A cover letter is required, briefly describing the study’s novelty, impact, and suitability for the journal.
- All submissions undergo initial editorial screening followed by double-blind peer review with at least two independent reviewers.
7. Open Access Policy
Science & Society Insights publishes all articles under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Authors retain copyright while granting the journal the right of first publication.
8. Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Details of APCs, waiver policy, and funding support will be provided on the journal website. Waivers or discounts may be available for authors from low- and middle-income countries.
9. Archiving and Indexing
We are committed to meeting standards for inclusion in Scopus, and Web of Science and other major indexing services.

Science & Society Insights
Peer review is central to the mission of Science & Society Insights. We rely on reviewers to ensure the quality, integrity, and relevance of published research.
1. Role of Reviewers
Reviewers are asked to:
- Provide an objective, constructive, and timely evaluation.
- Assess the novelty, methodological rigor, clarity, and significance of the manuscript.
- Identify ethical issues, including plagiarism, duplicate publication, animal/human welfare concerns, and conflicts of interest.
- Suggest specific improvements to strengthen the manuscript.
- Maintain strict confidentiality—manuscripts must not be shared or discussed with others without editor approval.
2. Evaluation Criteria
Reviewers should consider:
- Originality: Does the work provide new insights?
- Scientific rigor: Are the methods robust, reproducible, and appropriate?
- Clarity: Is the writing clear, well-structured, and supported by figures/tables?
- Relevance: Does the research fit the scope of biological, agricultural, veterinary, medical, basic, or social sciences?
- Ethical standards: Are human/animal studies conducted in accordance with international guidelines?
- Impact: Will this work be of interest to researchers, practitioners, or policymakers?
3. Confidentiality
- All manuscripts are confidential documents.
- Information obtained through peer review must not be used for personal advantage or shared with third parties.
4. Conflicts of Interest
Reviewers must decline invitations if they have competing interests (financial, professional, or personal) that could bias their judgment.
5. Review Process & Timelines
- Reviews are typically expected within 2–3 weeks of invitation.
- Extensions may be requested in advance.
- Recommendations should be one of the following: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject.
6. Ethical Responsibility
Reviewers should:
- Report any concerns of plagiarism, data fabrication, image manipulation, or ethical violations.
- Provide respectful, professional feedback, avoiding derogatory or personal remarks.
7. Recognition
Science & Society Insights values reviewers’ contributions. With author consent, reviewers may be acknowledged annually on the journal website.
